The west coast of the Island of Rab

A wealth of flora and untouched nature

The west coast of the island of Rab is considered by many to be the most attractive part of the island and is especially interesting among boating tourists. The coast includes the Kalifront peninsula, which with its protected Dundo forest also forms the largest holm oak forest community in Europe. Also, the coast consists of the two largest bays on Rab, Kamporska and Draška bays, the Gonar reef that is located between them and several uninhabited islets such as Šailovac and Maman, which contain numerous intimate beaches untouched by human influence and with beautiful marine flora and fauna, ideal for lovers of all activities at sea.

On the other side of the coast, tucked deep into the Kalifront peninsula, there are perhaps the most attractive bays on the island of Rab that are worth visiting: Ćifnata and Gožinka bays.

Gožinka and Ćifnata bays

Deeply tucked into the Kalifront peninsula, freed from wild construction, and with a rocky seabed and endless shade, these two neighboring bays have been the most visited destination for all lovers of nautical consumption tourism for years. An oasis of peace with numerous intimate places, as well as an inn in Gožinka bay that offers the best selection of traditional delicacies on the island, are the right choice for your carefree day trip.

Mali žal bay and Njivice beach

For all tourists looking for quiet and secluded coves and beaches, we certainly recommend the northern side of the island, where numerous gusts of wind like a gale have shaped just such attractive locations. One of them is the crystal clear and enchanting bay of Mali žal with its pebble beach Njivice, which is located below the highest peak on the island, Kamenjak, which also protects the island’s inhabitants from stronger storms. Many consider Njivice to be the most beautiful pebble beach on the island, and you can only access it by sea.

Jakišnica bay

Jakišnica is a small fishing village on the northwestern part of the island of Pag. The bay, located in the northwest of the island of Pag, is surrounded by forest, olive groves and other green flora characteristic of the Mediterranean coast. The place of the same name, located in the bay, is recognized for its traditional fishing activity, so you can enjoy gastronomic delicacies made from freshly caught fish in numerous places.
